About the show:When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the culprits are giving chase, only to find themselves up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood!

**Note: Student and Public Matinees may be added after casting. 

Rehearsals are from 2:00pm – 10:00pm Tuesday – Friday and various times at the weekends. We may rehearse up to 42 hours a week. Your schedule and hours will vary depending on the size of the role. Pay ranges from $325+ per week for non-union actors. Housing for out-of-town artists is available.

ROLES: 

Mother Superior: Devoted leader of the convent. Her church and her sisters come before all else – and she’s not afraid to voice her opinion. Mother Superior means well and eventually comes around regarding Deloris. Female, Age: 40 to 70. AEA or non-union.
Mother Superior Sides

Curtis: A club owner, notorious gangster, and Deloris’s boyfriend. Cocky and controlling, always on the verge of violence. Male, Age: 30 to 40.  AEA or non-union.
Curtis Sides

Sister Mary Theresa: A nun of the convent, the oldest of the group. Decrepit at a glance, but secretly packs a punch. Female, Age: 60 to 70. Non-union only.
