COVID-19 & Mask Policies

463 Views0 Comments
CFRT requires that audiences wear a face mask over their nose and mouth while attending performances. You agree to this policy when you purchase your ticket. Due to the Omicron wave of COVID-19, concessions will not be offered during The Wizard of Oz.

This policy is based on CDC recommendations (found here) that everyone – including fully vaccinated individuals – wear a mask indoors and especially when around unvaccinated or vulnerable populations. CFRT’s mask requirement is also based on review of policies with industry leaders including Broadway (policies here) and performing arts centers (Durham Performing Arts Center policies here). All of these policies are developed in support of our highest priority – to protect both artists and audiences, and to care for those most vulnerable in our community.

If you are unable to wear a mask due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief, we are happy to accommodate you at the theatre with proof of a negative COVID test obtained within 72 hours of the performance you are attending. Test results must bear the individual’s name and the date of testing. As with any ticket purchase, our ability to accommodate your request is based on sales for that performance and current availability.

Thank you for your understanding as we work to protect not only our audiences, artists, and staff, but the success and endurance of our productions and performances. We are grateful for your support.
