“A Masterpiece!” – New York Post

“From this day to the ending of the world, but we in it shall be remembered, we few, we happy few, we band of brothers…”   – Act IV, Scene iii

Shakespeare’s powerful history play about the legendary warrior king takes center stage at CFRT for the very first time in a propulsive, provocative production with contemporary resonances. Henry V is a play about going to war: the brotherhood, the valor, the costs and consequences. At what cost to his subjects and his conscience does Henry pursue the glories of his nation and his reign?

What is this play rated: This is a play of soaring verse and epic themes. It is also a play about war, and, as such, it contains some scenes of violence and death. It has some suggestive language – in French. It is suitable for any audience that is prepared for this violence and for Shakespeare’s language.
